Somaliaandal-Shabaabterrorists,topreventthedeathsofinnocentciviliansthatinclude
men,women,andchildreninSomaliaanditsneighboringcountries.
TheFederalGovernmentofSomaliaandU.S.AFRICOMtakegreatmeasurestoprevent
civiliancasualtiesinthefightagainsttheterroristgroupandinvestigateeachreported
allegationfully.Whiletherearereportsofciviliancasualties,atthistime,nociviliansare
assessedtohavebeenkilledorinjuredinthisairstrike.Theeffortswetaketoprotect
andsafeguardciviliansstarklycontraststheindiscriminateattacksthatISISSomaliaand
al-ShabaabregularlyconductagainstthecivilianpopulaceofSomalia.
ThisstrikesupportedtheeffortsoftheFederalGovernmentofSomaliaandFederal
