The bodies of five children were found in a house in western Germany recently, local media told police.
The children were found in a house in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, police told AFP without elaborating.
They were one year old, two years old, three years old, six years old and eight years old, according to a report in Bild daily.
The mother later threw herself in front of a train but survived the crash and suffered only serious injuries.
According to Bild, the children’s grandmother called the police and informed them that her 27-year-old daughter had killed five of her children and was possibly on the run with another child with the intent to commit suicide.
The 11-year-old boy was later found unharmed, according to his grandmother.
The national news agency DPA, quoting German emergency medical services, added that the mother was currently being treated at a clinic.
