SOMALI POLICE OFFICERS FROM THE MOGADISHU MPU CONTINUE TRAINING IN DJIBOUTI ( Photo )

The Somali officers from the Somali Police Mogadishu Maritime Police Unit (MPU) joining a complex international exercise, Cutlass Express 19, ongoing in Djibouti, trained yesterday on subjects such as evidence handling techniques and underwent different “Visit Board Search and Seizure- VBSS” scenarios, in preparation for more exercise to be conducted at sea over the next days.
Cutlass Express (CE), sponsored by U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM), and conducted by Naval Forces Africa (NAVAF) to assess and improve maritime law enforcement capacity, promote national and regional security in eastern Africa, inform planning and operations, and shape security force assistance (SFA) efforts.
