The men were executed by firing squad at the General Kahiye Police Academy in Mogadishu. Hassan Ali Moallim Barre (Hassan Boy) joined Al-Shabaab in Mubarak District in Lower Shabelle region in 2018 after his uncle Sayid Ali Adan Nur aka (Istiin Boy) convinced him to join the group. Hassan’s job was primarily to lay IEDs and other explosives. The court sentenced Hassan Ali Moallim Barre (Hassan Boy) to death on 14 October 2019. Isak Keerow Adan joined Al-Shabaab in the Dinsoor District in 2014. He led a group of militants who set fire to 14 trucks transporting food in December 2017. Nur Ibrahim Mahad-Alle was a member of a special police unit in Mogadishu but was removed from the police for drug abuse. He told the court that he lost his government-issued weapon. He then travelled to Beledweyne town. During his stay in the Hiiraan region, he joined Al-Shabaab and killed Mahaas Deputy Mayor Rashid Osman Abdi. The court confirmed that Mahaas Mayor Abdirahman Sheikh Elmi Awale, Ali Ahmed Gure, aka Ali Qoyane and Nur Ibrahim Mahad-Alle had worked together to kill the Deputy Mayor.
