Somalia’s Defence Ministry Appoints New Spokesperson
Somalia’s Ministry of Defence has appointed a new spokesperson. Abduqadir Mohamed Nur Jama, the federal Minister of Defence announced the appointment of the new spokesperson on 15 October. Brigadier General Abdullahi Ali Anod becomes the new spokesperson of the Defence Ministry.
Prior to his new appointment, Brig. Gen. Canood had served the Somali National Army (SNA) in various capacities. While making the announcement, the Minister said that Brig. Gen. Anod would help strengthen the relationship between the Ministry and the media.
