IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE
The Federal Government of Somalia has severed diplomatic relations with Ethiopia following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ethiopian Prime Minister and Somaliland.
This action is in response to what Somalia views as a breach of its sovereignty. Consequently, the Somali government is recalling its ambassador from Ethiopia and has ordered the prompt withdrawal of all Ethiopian diplomats from their embassy in Mogadishu.
